F - bxh 10 x 6 = 60

S - bxh 5 x 6 = 30
T - bxh 10 x 5 = 50
TSA= 60 + 60 + 50 + 50 + 30 + 30
TSA = 280 m²

Graphing Post

1. Use your notes to list the different types of graphs.
Please list the advantages and disadvantages of each graph.

Bar graph

Advantage- It shows who has the most or who has the least
.
Disadvantage- intervals can be changed to make some bars bi

gger than the other one even though they're the same close.

Double Bar graph

Advantage- Good for comparing two data across category

Disadvantage- Intervals might not be that accurate and makes the graph wrong

Line graph

Advantage- Good for comparing data overtime

Disadvantage- You can only use it to compare data overtime

Pictograph

Advantage- Easy to see the comparison between the data.

- you can count the pictures easily

Disadvantage- You can't show exact amount because you cant draw thi
ngs in half.

Circle graph
Advantage- Good for comparing the data with the whole
Disadvantage- Takes too long to make and you can only use percentage.

You can make a pictograph misleading by making the picture big

ger than the other one.

You can make a bar graph misinterpreted by doing the "

zig zag" on the y-axis

You can misinterpret a line graph by making the numbers on the y- axis far away from each other.

2a) The following chart shows Pizza Sub Sales over a month. What 2 graphs woul
d show the information accurately?
Use a bar graph and a line graph
2b) If you were selling Pizza Subs would you continue? How does your graph explain your answer.
Yes,because more people are buying it over time and if I continue selling Pizza Subs I might earn alot of money.

4. Below you see 2 different examples of graphs showing healthy choices sold at the canteen. If you had to convince Mrs Mota that we should continue selling healthy choices which gr
aph would you choose?

I would show Mrs.Mota the line graph because its more accurate than the pictograph and
it shows that more healthy snacks are being bought overtime.
4a) Change each graph so that your information looks even MORE impressive. You may not change the data just the graphs.

Hendrix's proportion post

PART 1
Ratio-The quantitative relation between two amo
unts showing the number of times one value contains or is contained within the other.
6:9 6 black balls compared to 9 white balls
Rate-Compares two quantities measured in different units
15ml/$1
Proportion-A part, share, or number considered in comparative relation to a whole.

PART 2

5 hours to travel 360 miles is about 72 mph

As a playgroup worker, if I increase the amount of apple juice I am serving at the playgroup from 25 ml to 100 ml, how much should I increase the the orange juice to, to keep the quantities in the sam
e proportion? The orange juice is 50 ml to start with.
3.What are the three ways you can prove that equivalent ratio statements are true?
3/4 = 12/16 or 4/9 = 16/32

1.No because the rich dude took 3 billion away from other people and he only went to jail for 1 year. And the old guy took $100 from a bank and turned himself in.And he went to jail for 15 years.
2.The poor guy is going in jail for 15 years to pay $0.15 per year and the rich guy is in jail for only 1 year and he stole more money.
3. If I were the judge I would've made the old guy go to jail for 1 year and made the rich guy go to jail for how much money he stole.
