Question 5:
Rewrite each fraction as a decimal and a percent.
A) Fraction: 51/30 = Decimal: 51 divided by 30 = 1.7 = Percent: 1.7x100 = 170%
B) Fraction: 21/200 = Decimal: 21 divided by 200 = 0.105 = Percent: 0.105x100 = 10.5 %
C) Fraction: 3/500 = Decimal: 3 divided by 500 = 0.006 = Percent: 0.006x100 = 0.6%

Question 11:
Express the shaded portion of each diagram as a fraction, a decimal, and a percent
Fraction: 17/25 = Decimal: 17 divided by 25 = 0.68 = Percent: 0.68x100 = 68%
Fraction: 9/24 = Decimal: 9 divided by 24 = 0.375 = Percent: 0.375x100= 37.5%

Question 17:

A) Ticket sales are 13/10 of what they were at this time last year. If you used 130% and turned it to a decimal, it would be 1.3 which makes the number look smaller but if you put it in a fraction, the numerator is bigger than the denominator which makes the number look bigger than what it should be.
B) We are already at 0.60.5 of our target and we just started! 0.65.5 is easier to read than 60 1/2% because in a percent, you don't usually see 60 1/2% but if you read 60 1/2 as a decimal you will understand it more clearly.
C) We have managed to cut our costs by 75/10 000. 0.75% doesn't seem that big of a number, but when you put it into a fraction, the larger the denominator, the bigger the number will sound.

Here's a video to help you understand more about converting fractions, decimals, and percents.

Hey Charisse~ Good job on your post. I liked how you had different font colors because it attracted me. For question 5: A, B, C , I think you show how you got your answer so more people would understand how you did that (just in case they were away or got no notes) Looking at your scribe post, I can see that is well organized. The video was also helpful. Keep up the good work, Chacha :)
